This is a picture of the John Ringling Bridge in Sarasota at dusk. The lights on the columns from underneath make it stand out in the evening
The John Ringling Bridge connects Sarasota downtown with St. Armand Circle and Lido Beach. About 2001, it replaced a four lane drawbridge. At 65 feet high it eliminates the opening and closing of a drawbridge. People love to walk, run or bike "The Bridge". It is one of the few places to test your ability to run hills. The lights under the bridge change color and stand out at night.
